Born of a lifelong love of the Visual and Culinary Arts, CharcuterieLife is a creative factory where function meets spectacle – vibrant canvases of natural woodgrain with flowing colors frozen in time across their surfaces, resulting in visual art upon which your culinary creations are presented.
Useful Beauty
Our custom charcuterie and food display boards are made with premium hardwoods and finished with food-safe epoxy for a durable long-life finish. We offer such a variety of board shapes, sizes, wood-patterns and colors that even the most distinctive tastes are sure to find a perfect match for their environment and purpose.

Materials
Estate Series – Acacia
Lightweight, resilient, and beautifully patterned, Acacia provides a durable and lively grain structure for our Estate Series boards.
Reserve Series – Teak
Dense and naturally water-resistant, teak offers exceptional durability and coloration, making it ideal for boards intended for heavy use.
The Process
Design and Carving
Once you’ve selected the board you want to build from our Collections page and the Wood Pattern from our Patterns Page, the carving art is finalized by our design studio and the pattern is carefully carved into the board’s surface. The board is then hand-sanded and checked for carving quality.
Sealing Grain and Pouring Color
The carved board is now sealed with a non-waxed shellac to protect the wood grain from color staining, and the color palette of your choice from our color page will be applied to the carved channels. The results of each pour are always unique and never replicated.
Clear Coat and Polishing
Once the color layer is cured, the final thick coat of crystal clear food-safe epoxy floods the surface, adding a new dimension of depth. This new surface must then be cured as well, and after seven days is brought to a hand-polished lustre. The Logo Brand is added to the back, the exposed sides and bottom are treated with Walrus Oil, and rubber non-slip feet are secured to the bottom. Your board is now ready to ship!
